In this research, the writer discusses the contrast between English and Sundanese derivational affixes. The aims of this research are to describe the types, meanings, the functions, then to find out the similarities and differences between English and Sundanese derivational affixes.

The research entitled A syntactic analysis of Noun Phrase Modifier Used In The Humorous Stories of Nasreddin, the Wise Man is a qualitative descriptive study. The purposes of this study are to determine the types of modifier and to describe the elements of modifier used in the noun phrase in the humorous stories of Nasreddin, the Wise Man.
