This research finding shows the form of separable phrasal verbs, that is verb + particle (adverb) + object (noun / pronoun). Because the object in separable phrasal verb can come between the verb and particle, the form is verb + object (noun / pronoun) + particle (adverb). There are two forms of inseparable phrasal verbs, they are 1) verb + one particle (preposition) + object, and 2) verb + two particles (adverb and preposition) + object. The object in separable phrasal verb can not move. It only comes after the particle. The verbs using in separable and inseparable phrasal verbs are transitive verbs. The common verbs used in separable phrasal verbs are, such as, look (look over, look up), and write (write down). The most particles used in separable phrasal verbs are adverbs, such as, back (call back), and out (hand out). The common verbs used in inseparable phrasal verbs are, such as, keep (keep on) and watch (watch out for). The common particles used in the first form of inseparable phrasal verbs are, such as, after (look after) and across (run across). The common particles used in the second form of inseparable phrasal verbs are, such as, away with (get away with). The most particles using in separable phrasal verbs are adverbs. The adverb has relation to modify verb to form of separable phrasal verb. It also has transferred meaning. The most particles using in inseparable phrasal verbs are prepositions. Preposition has relation as part of the verb in the form of inseparable phrasal verbs. It also has transferred meanings.
